Jim was a great guy to work with for his entire 35 years of service with the EPA and predecessor agencies at the Wheeling Office. His friendly attitude, competent skills, honesty, dependable work ethic were appreciated by everyone. The wide range of activities involved in the work included sampling wastewater from sewage plants, sampling streams from a boat or bridge in all kinds of weather, field work long before GPS was around, etc. The entire office staff considered him a true friend. Lynne liked him so much, she married him and enabled him to have a family, for which he was very grateful. Lynne visited him in Good Shephard when his mind was in bad shape and let him know he was still loved. We are glad we got to know James L. Bailey. Our prayers are with his family at this time of loss.
