Carol K. Kirschner, 67, of Moundsville, VVV passed away peacefully on January 3, 2023. Carol was born in Alliance, Ohio on February 3, 1955. She was a graduate of John Marshall High
School, class of 1973, and attended West Liberty State College.

Carol was a sweet, kindhearted person with a ready smile. She was always willing to lend a helping hand when the need arose. She never hesitated to help her coworkers, friends, and
family with computer and technology issues, which was her passion. She also enjoyed painting, word puzzles, caring for her dogs, and spending time with her husband, Tom. She dearly loved
him, and they were blessed to have many happy years together.  Carol’s career encompassed working at Hills Department Store for twenty years. She retired
from Wood Health Care Clinic in 2016 after twenty years. Carol was a medical insurance expert and was responsible for taking care of the insurance claims for the practice.

In addition to her loving, devoted husband of 37 years, Thomas J. Kirschner, Carol is survived by her sister, Jane White, brother, Gary Kelley (Kelly), aunt Dorothy Jack; nieces and nephews,
Chelsie (Andrew), Belle, Gary Wayne (Shannon), Ayla, Alicia, Jamie, Brian, Jodi, Stacey, and Eric.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Eileen Kelley, brother Joe Kelley, sister, Patty Kelley, and uncle Robert Jack.

In accordance with Carol’s wishes, funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV 26041.

In honor of the thoughtful person Carol was, memorial contributions may be made to Marshall County Animal Shelter, 37 Animal Shelter Drive, Moundsville, WV 26041.

Tom…i am not sure you will remember me, but i do remember you..i have been living in Denver for 40+ years, so i was late in receiving this news….so Sorry for the loss of your lovely wife..i am so glad you had so many wonderful years together…sincerely Bill Santmyer
