RITZ, Agnes “Marie”, 85, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Sunday, December 16, 2018 in Wheeling Hospital.
She was born August 18, 1933, a daughter of the late Charles and Ida Park Gittings. She was a member of St. Michael Church in Wheeling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sister, June and Betty.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, James E. Ritz; three children, Zelma (Michael) Kassimer of Fairchance, Pa., John (Sheila) Ritz of Las Vegas, Nev., and Robert (Mary) Ritz of Urbandale, Iowa; ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Marie was a loving and caring person who enjoyed large family gatherings. Her family will continue those traditions in her honor. Perhaps her greatest interest in life was helping others.
At Marie’s request, there will be no visitation. Committal service and interment will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 10:30 am at Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling with Rev. Michael Steltenkamp officiating. A memorial mass will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
