Alma B. (Moorehouse) Braden, 91, of McMechen, WV passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at Liza’s Place, Wheeling.

She was born November 27, 1925, in McMechen, daughter of the late Joseph & Alma (Williams) Moorehouse.

Alma was a homemaker, former employee of Sears, Montgomery Wards and Marx Toy Plant in Glen Dale, WV.  She enjoyed helping with the local 4H and Limestone Volunteer Fire Department, where she helped set up fundraisers.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Junior M. Braden; two sisters, Deloris Streski and Betty Berardi and brother, Jess Beeman.

Surviving are her two daughters, Brenda (Bob) Matzke & Betty (Chuck) McCardle, all of Wheeling; sister, Helen Maxwell, formerly of McMechen; brother, Robert (Wilma) Beeman of KY; four grandchildren, Mark (Robyn) Matzke, Suzie (Craig) Gerhardt, Chris McCardle and Natasha (Bucky) McCardle and five great grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017, and again Monday, July 24, 2017, from 10 am until the time of service at 11 am at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen.

Interment will follow in McMechen Cemetery.

I am granddaughter. I remember a lot of things happen thurs growing up. I will miss my grandma.
