Babette Hogan

June 28, 1959 - October 30, 2017

06/28/1959 - 10/30/2017

Our Beloved Babette Hogan, ascended into heaven on October 30, 2017, with great dignity.

Babette was born June 28, 1959 (58 years), to Ralph and Agnes Hogan (deceased). Babs lived in Glen Dale, with her sister, Joette, brother-in-law, Chuck, and niece, Rebekah Zeigler, and rescue cat, Nala. We were blessed with her love.

Also surviving are three other sisters, Yvette (Raymond) Sodauskas, and Nan and Mary Hogan; lifelong friend, Ilene Zinn; and friend of many years, Libby Defibaugh.

Babette attended Russell Nesbitt in her younger years, then John Marshall High School. Babette was the first to attend Adena Hills workshop, and continued to attend until September of 2017.

Babette was always so loving and kind, giving so much more than she received. Babs loved dancing, especially to Michael Jackson, who she saw in concert. She loved eating out, bowling, and especially shopping. “Shop, Shop, Shop.” she would say.

Please honor Babette Hogan’s life by doing something kind for someone, treating everyone with respect and kindness, as she did.

God Speed Babette. You are forever loved. Remember JoJo loves you “THIS BIG”. Your “Whole World Family” loves you more than we can express. Keep dancing to the Nitty Gritty, and remember “Go Go Go WVU”.

Thank you to Ilene Ruttenberg Zinn and Libby Defibaugh, for their unending help and love for Babette; to our neighbors, Carol Miller, for saying a prayer over Babette just hours before her death; to Judy Van Devender, Chris Drake and to Bette Swartz, for their support and words of comfort. Thank you to Cheryl Holmes of Amedysis, and to Kelly Amato, for their care and kindness to Babette. Thank you to Jason and Josh from American Medical Supply, for always running down at all hours with whatever Babs needed. Love to all the clients and staff at Adena and Ash Avenue. Babette loved you all.
