I was on several committees with Ben when I taught at SIU. He had a sharp intellect and profound sense of fairness and integrity. I’m very sorry to hear of his passing, and send my deep condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

Dr. Rodriguez was truly an inspiration to all SIUC students that walked through his classroom doors. I know many of those in my course looked forward to his class solely to witness the passion and drive he had for his field of study. I hope to one day lead and inspire individuals the way Dr. Rodriguez led and inspired me through my short time knowing him. It is because of Dr. Rodriguez that I have now decided to study the psychopathology of children. He will truly be missed by all. My deepest condolences to his family and relatives.

Dr. Rodriguez was a great professor and one of my favorite professors at SIU. I always looked forward to class because he always kept it interesting and you never knew what cat memes he was going to have on his slides. I will always remember Dr. Rodriguez and his passion for his field of work. I send my condolences to his family and friends.
