Carolyn A. Freshwater, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
She was born September 9, 1964, a daughter of the late Charles E. and Laura H. (Westen) Blake Sr. Carolyn was a Protestant by faith. She worked for over 20 years as a C.N.A. and caretaker. Carolyn was an avid WVU and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Charles E. Blake Jr.
Carolyn is survived by her loving, life companion, Brad Tennant; two sons, Josh (Steph) Freshwater and Andrew “Andy” Freshwater both of Moundsville; three sisters, Janet (Kevin) Freshwater of Moundsville, Donna Blake of Moundsville and Shirley (Melvin) Jones of McMechen; one brother, Mike Blake and his significant other, Rusty Lilley of Newark, OH; two uncles, August (Rhonda) Robinson of Glen Dale and Kenneth (Nancy) Blake of Moundsville; one aunt, JoAnn Pierce of Moundsville; three grandchildren, Brentley Freshwater, Nakoa Freshwater and River Lee Dolin; numerous nieces and nephews and several close friends.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lute & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., from 12 noon until time of service at 2 pm with Pastor Rodney Hubbs officiating. Interment will take place at Riverview Cemetery.

Dave and I have very fond memories of Carolyn at my late Aunt Mary’s house for holidays and family gatherings. Carolyn never had a bad day. She was always smiling, happy and tolerant. Carolyn’s good nature was infectious and always made things better. Carolyn will always be loved and never be forgotten.
