Johnson, Catherine Dittmer (Kay) born May 29, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA, died Monday, January 15, 2018 in Wheeling surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Albert and Catherine Kanya Dittmer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years Frank Edward Johnson in 1996.
Surviving are her children, Frank (Rita) Johnson, Scott (Paula) Johnson, Shawn Johnson and Karin (John) Angius, 9 grandchildren, Zachary, Ashley, Derek, Kyle and his wife Alesha, Kayla and her husband DJ, Morgan, Kelsey, Katie and Jesse, 3 Great Grandchildren, her Sister, Marlene (Bill) Schnupp of West Mifflin, PA, many nieces and nephews.
She was a long time manager for the Holiday Inn Express, St. Clairsville, OH. She was a member of the former Holy Family Catholic Church in Beech Bottom, loved traveling with her grandchildren and adored her sweet Aussies, Snoopy and Lucy. She was a very caring, loving person and will be missed by everyone that knew her.
Friends will be received from 11-2 on Friday, January 19, funeral services following at 2 PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling,with Monsignor Kevin Quirk officiating, Interment In Greenwood Cemetery. I abslutely adored Kay. I did not know her for long but it felt like a lifetime. She made everyone feel loved and cherished. I value the fun and good memories we shared!!

Kay was a ray of sunshine. When she was in our facility, I would stop by for a quick visit and she always had a smile and a laugh for me. Bless her heart.. she was a sweet soul. I feel lucky to have met her. My condolences to Frank and Karen. She will be sadly missed.
