Catherine R. “Kinks” Klug, 88, of St. Joseph Settlement, Proctor, WV, died Monday, October 22, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Catherine was born on January 30, 1930 in St. Joseph Settlement, a daughter of the late Clement and Marguerite Singer Klug.

She was a Laboratory Analyst for PPG Industries for 41 years and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Settlement where she was sacristan and taught CCD.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Klug; Bernard Klug; Bill Klug; Leo Klug; Louis Klug and Joseph Klug and sisters, Agnes Klug and Eleanor Fox.

She is survived by sister-in-law, Faye Klug of Beaver, PA and several nieces and nephews.

Catherine was a second mother to all her nieces and nephews and loved cake decorating, flowers, and traveling.

Friends will be received Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 25, 2018, at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Josephs Settlement with Rev. Symeon Galazaka as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank and extend their gratitude to the many wonderful and loving caregivers which enabled Catherine to remain in her home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Oh what a wonder person and beautiful lady Kinks was. One of the happiest people I have ever known and I will always remember that infectious smile. God blessed us all with her presence on earth and now she is dancing with the angels.

All of Eloise’s children want to express our sadness at the passing of mom’s wonderful cousin, Kinks. Visits were always such fun for all of us.

Kinks was a dear lifelong friend! She will be sorely missed but heaven is the better for her presence. I’m sure her brothers, sisters, parents, Anne & so many others who loved her are rejoicing in the reunion.
