BARTON, Celeste Lynn (Bell), 65, of Bridgeport, Ohio, and formerly of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at home.

She was born May 18, 1951, in Wheeling, W.Va., a daughter of the late Harold and Genevieve (Givens) Bell. She was a graduate of Wheeling Northern Community College and worked for Ohio County Schools and Family Violence Services of Wheeling. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She was their Mimi and everyone loved her. She had friends all over the world and every one of them was special in their own way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, John H. Barton and Bud A. Reineke, one great granddaughter, Madison Yoho, one brother, Sonny Bell, and one sister, Shirley Carver.

She is survived by three children, John H. (Barb) Barton of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Jacqueline (Brian) Burkle of Wheeling, and Jeffrey (Heidi Baker) Barton of Martins Ferry, Ohio; two brothers, Robert (Bobby) Bell of Wheeling, and Roger (Carla) Bell of Wheeling; thirteen grandchildren, Amanda, Amber, Aaron, Casie, Coner, John Jr. Bethany, Alexis, Tyler, Amelia, Asianne, Aubreigh, and Jeffery Jr.; and eleven great grandchildren, Genevieves Gooch, Brantley Givens, Paisley Campbell, Alyssa Hall, Brysen Hall, Kendra Hall, Erik Kennen, Allyanna Bever, Charles Yoho, David Yoho, and Austin Bonuales.

Friends will be received on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 2pm until time of service 4 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling.

Celeste was a very good friend growing up she didn’t give up for nothing I remember a fight she got into to with someone and they got their finger stuck in her earring and her earring got ripped out of her ear and after that my mom said no earrings for me. Celeste loved everyone she was a good person

Just wanna thank everyone who showed up for our mothers services I know a lot couldn’t make do to work but she’s no longer n pain and with god. She will always live in in our hearts and in our memories this is a very hard time for my family but with all that my momma looked great and you could tell she was no longer in pain….we all love you mom and till that day we meet again I’ll miss you so much and will always keep you in my heart as I’m sure everyone else will we love you
