GILSON, Charles E. “Bud”, 80, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born October 20, 1935, in Wheeling, a son of the late Robert R. and Helen M. (Kettler) Gilson. He was a graduate of Triadelphia High School class of 1953. He was retired from WTRF Channel 7 and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Una “Toots” (Siandru) Gilson, and one sister, Lois Onifer.
He is survived by two daughters, Becky (Tony) Bugaj, and Sheri (Chris) Imer; three grandchildren, Lindsey Bugaj, Jenna Bugaj, and Kyle Imer; Sister-in-law, Marlene (Fred) Tice; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11 am at Greenwood Cemetery Chapel in Wheeling with Msgr. Mark Froehlich officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

becky and sheri, I worked with your mom back in the mid 70S at hills. I met the both of you and your dad several times over time I worked there. they were nice people. your mom was fun to work with. may peace be with you. my thoughts are with you

Becky, Marlene & family so sorry to hear of your loss. I was the oldest daughter of Mary & Dominick Fragale. I baby sat Becky & also Lois’ children back in the day on Jacob Street. Bud was having fun with his radios & Toots & Marlene were so much fun. Have thought of them many times over the years.
