Charles R. Fithen, Jr., 66, of Moundsville, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born on September 16, 1950, son of the late Charles R. and Dorothy Fithen.

He was retired from Turf Care Supply, Martins Ferry, Ohio and a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, Moundsville.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Rose Fithen, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alphonse and Rose Mary Michetti and a brother, Larry Bennett.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shirley; his son, Charles A. (Caitlyn) of Wheeling; and the joy of his life, his granddaughter, Sophia Rose; a brother, Glenn Bennett; and nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.  Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Sorry for your loss. May the Lord comfort you in your sorrow. Charles and I passed papers together in the old neighborhood. He was my first boss and co-worker. He was a good and kind friend.

Sorry to hear of Chuck’s passing. We worked together at Lesco/Turf Care. We could always find something interesting to talk about. I enjoyed my time working around him and remember how proud he was when his granddaughter was born. I’m sure he will be missed by all.

Sorry to learn of Chuck’s passing. I worked with him at Lesco between 1995 and 2000
Chuck was a very nice man and I have many pleasant memories of the work time we spent together.

Mrs. Fithen and family,
