Claudia Rae (Wood) Scheehle

Claudia Rae (Wood) Scheehle, 73, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
She was born October 8, 1944, in Glen Dale, WV, daughter of the late Kermit & Mary Ruby (Cooper) Wood. She was a hairdresser for many years, member of the First Christian Church, Moundsville and loved spending her time playing games with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Mary Myers and Janis Burke; stepfather, Ralph Berisford and her nephew, Frankie Torres.
She is survived by her three children, Shawna Rae Tolpa (Ed) of Moundsville, Shermaine Mager (Robert) of Glen Dale and Sheldon Blair Scheehle (Denise) of Joint Base McGuire/Dix -Lakehurst, NJ; two sisters, Sharon Yoho of Moundsville and her twin sister, Shirley (Bill) Dorsey of Palatka, FL; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and her best friend and next-door neighbor, Jeanie Payne of Moundsville.
Friends will be received Friday, August 17, 2018, from 2-4pm and from 6-8pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018, at 11 am with Rev. Wesley Howsare officiating.
Interment will follow at Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard.
