Constance “Connie” (Musico) Pietranton, 83, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Liza’s Place, Valley Hospice Care Center South, Wheeling.

Connie was born August 14, 1939, in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Betty Musico-Colesante. She was a graduate of Follansbee High School and the Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing. Connie was a registered nurse at Good Shepherd Nursing Home for nearly 30 years. She was also a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Elm Grove, where she served as a funeral luncheon & fish fry volunteer; the Altar Society at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Parish, Triadelphia, WV; the Wheeling Hospital Alumni.

In addition to her mother, Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Frank Pietranton, in 2021; and son, Mark Pietranton. She is survived by her five children, Terri (John) Cline of Bridgeville, PA, Betty Jo “B.J.” (David) Olson of Wheeling, WV, Stephen “Stef” (David) Pietranton of Newport, KY, Michelle “Shelly” (Mark) Bailer of Martins Ferry, OH and Michael (Corey) Pietranton of Wheeling, WV; a sister, Paula (John) Brewer of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren, Lauren (Chris) Madden, Chris (Abby) Cline, Maria & Michael Olson, Olivia (Eric) Myers, and Leah, Katie and Andy Bailer; two great-grandsons, Andrew Madden and Emmett Myers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Liza’s Place.

Friends will be received from 3pm- 7:30pm, Friday, April 28, 2023 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Saturday, April 29, 2023, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Msgr. Paul Hudock as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul School.
