David Thomas Loretta, 78, of St. Clairsville, OH, passed away on Thursday, December2, 2021 at Cumberland Point Center, St. Clairsville, OH.
He was born on April 17, 1943 in Fairmont. WV, son of the late Joseph Samuel and Marcella Loretta.
David was retired C.O.O / Director of Operations from Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife. Saundra Ann Loretta; brother, Robert Loretta and his niece, Kelly Benson.
Surviving are his children, Johna (Chris) Fogle of St. Clairsville, OH and Jason Loretta (Cherie Walker) of St. Clairsville; three grandsons, Jayden Loretta of St. Clairsville and Griffin And Maxwell Fogle of St. Clairsville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 2pm until time of services at 5pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville with Rocky Tetrick officiating.
Memorial Contributions in David’s name may be made to Project Hope at 1500 Chapline Street, Wheeling WV, 26003, Belmont County Animal Shelter at 45244 National Road W, St. Clairsville, OH, 43950 or the Marshall County Animal Shelter at 37 Animal Shelter Drive, Moundsville, WV 26041. .

I worked with Dave at RMH for many years he always had the greatest smile and was such a wonderful person I also cared for his wife at RMH so sorry to hear of your loss

I worked with David for fourteen years. He was my mentor and friend. I have not lived near David for some time but I have thought about him often. He will be missed by many. God bless.
