Deborah J. Colvin, 66, of Wellsburg, WV, lost her courageous battle with a double lung transplant, Tuesday, January 12, 2016 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.

She was born November 10, 1949, a daughter of the late Thomas and Betty Lou (Mitchell) Vensel. Debbie was a Catholic by faith. She was a member of the Women’s Weirton Bowling Association for over 30 years. She was a devoted grandmother, who loved to fish, go camping and traveling to Amish Country.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Myers, and brother-in-law, Gary Conkel.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Les Tennant; two children, Malissa (Tom Thomas) Colvin and Adam (Angela) Colvin; two sisters, Rosemary Conkel and Arlene (David) Ruble; one brother, Tom (Sharon) Vensel; three grandsons, Charles, Dylan, and Hunter Colvin; and one granddaughter, Taylor Thomas.

Family and friends will be received Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, where services will be held Saturday, January 16 at 11 am with Msgr. Kevin Quirk as celebrant. Interment will take place at Kadesh Chapel, Beech Bottom, WV.

I was just watching the tribute video for Debbie. Even though I did not know her, there are so many lives touched by her. My condolences go out to all of you. I can see how she will be missed terribly. Prayers for you all.
