Delno W. “Gary” “Junior” Thayer, 70, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Liza’s Place, Wheeling WV. Delno was born January 7, 1947 in Moundsville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leeta (Thayer) Sneigle; step-father, Harry Sneigle and his step-sister, Tammy Sneigle.
Delno was a Christian by faith, a US Army National Guard Veteran, an avid classic car enthusiast, and the President/co-owner of Dale’s Pre-Owned Auto Sales Inc.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Connie L. (Tully) Thayer of Moundsville; two daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Robinson of Belmont, OH and Missy Bosworth of Glen Dale, WV; brother, Joseph Thayer of OH; step-brother, Harry Lee Sneigle; two step-sisters, Theresa (Richard) Galloway of Odessa, TX and Tina (Larry) Prokes Dillonvale, OH; four grandsons, Levi & Bret Bosworth of Glen Dale and Ty Yoho and Wyatt Hull of Belmont, OH.
Friends will be received Sunday, April 02, 2017 from 4-9pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville WV. Where funeral services will be held Monday, April 3, 2017 at 11am with Rev. Raju Antony officiating.

So sorry for your loss. Don enjoyed talking about old cars with him. Don bought a Ford truck from him, Gary said buy a Chevy, today Don said ” I should of listened to him and bought a Chevy. Prayers to all.

Our sincere sympathy to you, your family, and Gary’s siblings, Connie. We have fond memories of Gary growing up, and we appreciated his consideration of our parents. We have made a collective donation to Liza’s Place in honor of Gary.
So sorry to hear of Jr’s passing. My dad worked with him at Dale’s. He was a good man and will be missed. I can only imagine the car stories that him and dad are sharing once again. My sincere condolences to his family.
