BRENNAN, Donald Joseph “Don”, 85, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Saturday, April 15, 2017 in Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
He was born July 14, 1931 in Philadelphia, Pa., a son of the late Dorothy Brennan, and nephew of Gertrude and Percival Strauss, who raised him after the death of his mother.
He was a retired Salesman for the Sun Oil Company. He enjoyed golf and was an avid ham radio operator with the northern panhandle amateur radio club and WV MARS for 51 yrs. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wheeling.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois A. (Anderson) Brennan, and a son-in-law, Ray Davies.
Surviving are his six children, Leslie B. (Robert) Givens of Benwood, W.Va., Liz A. (Mike) Fleming of Glenside, Pa., Michael G. (Tina) Brennan of Warminster, Pa., Kate Davies of Telford, Pa., Ann (Todd) Schuck of Tavares, Fla., and Guy P. Brennan of Glenside, Pa., Nine grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Naegele as celebrant.
