Dorla Dean (Yoder) WALTON, 84, of Washington Lands, Moundsville, WV, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 29, 2021 at JW Ruby Memorial University Hospital, Morgantown WV.
She was born July 13, 1937 in Cameron, WV, daughter of the late Otis & Helen (Karr) Yoder.
Dorla, also known as Nan, was a Christian by faith and a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, loved ones and friends. She spent many hours sewing, making beautiful pies and spinning her wheels around the roller rink.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Bud Yoder and sister, Delma Brown.
Surviving are her loving husband of 64 years, Daniel Alvin Walton of Washington Lands; three sons Daniel (Theresa)of Wheeling; Randy (Sally) of Lusby, MD; and William (Donna) of California, MD. Eight grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren Chasta Walton of California; Danielle (Richie) Bowen of Owings, MD; Megan (Justin) Woods of Moundsville, WV; Michael Walton of Hollywood, MD; Kayla (Joe) D’Agostino of Owings, MD; Lara Walton of Wheeling, WV; Emily Walton of Hollywood, MD and Stephanie Walton of Sarasota, FL; Alex Samodorov of San Francisco, CA; Chris (Crystal) Samodorov of Lusby, MD; Nic (Nicole) Samodorov of Baltimore, MD; Rena (Dan) Samodorov of Clayton, NC and Andrew (Dorothy) Truman of Dover, DE and seven great- grandchildren. A brother, Larry (Linda) Yoder of Polaris, Montana. A special family friend Bobbie (Steve) McDonald of Washington Lands. And many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Thursday, December 2nd from 3-7 pm and services will be held at 1 pm on Friday at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville.
Interment will follow at Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Wheeling.
