Dorothy F. (Trischler) Bischof, 92, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2015, in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling.
Dorothy was born December 19, 1922, in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Bernard and Marie (Neidert) Trischler. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for 55 years, where she served on the Hospital Follow Up Committee as well as many other odd jobs for the church. She loved working in her garden, lawn and flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. Bischof, in 1994; two sisters, Irene Trischler and Dolores Bischof; and three brothers, Joseph, Maurice and Gerald Trischler.
Dorothy is survived by two sisters, Jeanette Terretti and Marlene Trischler; three brothers, Richard, Hubert (Donna) and Dennis Trischler; three sisters-in-law, Ruth Bischof, Mary Elizabeth Trischler and Deanna Trischler; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
The Trischler family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, especially 2 South for their caring dedication.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Friday, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where a rosary service will be held at 7 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Saturday, December 19, 2015, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. Msgr. Paul Hudock and Rev. John Beckley as celebrants. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
