Dorothy Kopyar

Kopyar, Dorothy R., 77, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at home.
She was born December 15, 1937, in Wheeling, W.Va., a daughter of the late Fred S. and Rose C. (Miklas) Kopyar. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Wheeling. She was retired from JC Penney and was a long time beloved teacher at St. Joseph Central in Wolfhurst, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert J. Kopyar, and one sister, Mary Helen Vaughn.
She is survived by one sister, Joann Kopyar of St. Clairsville, Ohio; one brother Eugene (Claire) Kopyar of Minneapolis, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews in Minneapolis, Minn., Nashville, Tenn., and Atlanta, Ga.
At Dorothy’s request there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 9 am at St. Alphosus Catholic Church, Wheeling with Rev. Doug Ondeck as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made to the animal shelter or Rescue League of the donor’s choice.
