Together Again
Dorothy R. (Tusina) Mecodangelo, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016, in Wheeling Hospital.
Dorothy was born May 30, 1931 in Benwood, W.Va., the daughter of the late Michael Tusina, Sr. and Rose (Spear) Tusina. She was a graduate of the College of Commerce; a former office clerk for Berry Supply, Wheeling; and a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Wheeling Hospital Auxiliary; the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, Carol Ladies; the Women’s Club of Wheeling; and the Lady Elks.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel M. Mecodangelo, in 2010; and two brothers, Edward Tusina and Michael Tusina, Jr.
Dorothy is survived by her nieces, Denise (Scott) Chatel of Commack, N.Y., Judy DeLuca of Bethpage, N.Y., Cindy Demore of Levittown, Pa. and Claire Marie Hompertz of Dublin, Ohio; nephews, Michael Tusina, III of Levittown, Pa. and Mark Olenar of Glen Robbins, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Sophie Tusina of Levittown, Pa.; cousins, Tom and Tess Morando of Wheeling; and great-nieces and nephews, Ryan, Paul and Brittney Chatel, Christopher Mallozzi, Kyle and Wayne Demore, Stephanie and Ashley Tusina, Stephanie Woodward, Luke and Daniel Olenar, Tyler (Cayla) and Travis Morando, and Matthew Hompertz.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Friday, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where a vigil service will be held at 3:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Dennis Schuelkens as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Mount Calvary Garden Mausoleum, Wheeling.

Dorothy was a kind, sweet, beautiful lady and she will be greatly missed. We are sorry we will not be able to attend her funeral this weekend.
