Frances Elizabeth Marsh, 98, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at Bishop Hodges Continuous Care Center.
She was born October 25, 1919, a daughter of the late James Edward and Myrtle Amanda (Carnes) Estep. Frances was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mozart, WV. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and above all spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert B. Marsh (1977); her step-mother, Virginia Estep; her step-father, Harry Shrewberry; her son-in-law, James Pettit; her brother, Matthew Estep and her sister, Mable Sager.
Surviving Frances are her two daughters, Mary E. Pettit of Bethlehem and Edna (Dale)Weiman; one son, Albert B. (Marcia) Marsh Jr.; several step-siblings, 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street. Where funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at 2 pm. Interment will be held at Halcyon Hill Memorial Park.

So sorry to hear about aunt Frances’s passing, she was a special aunt to me when I was young and I loved our trips visiting her. The world has lost a special lady,I regret not visiting her in the past years, living to many miles away, So sorry Mary, Edna and Sonny(Albert Jr.)
What a special lady that I got to know when I became friends with her granddaughters. I know she has a special place in your hearts,and her memory will be engraved there forever. She will be missed by many but will be reunited with you all in heaven. Rest in peace grandma Frances till we meet again
