Frances L. (Bilinsky) Miller, 86, of Wheeling, W.Va., formerly of Moundsville, W.Va., passed away Friday, June 19, 2015, in Heartland of Lansing Nursing Home, Bridgeport, Ohio.
Frances was born July 24, 1928, in Independence, Pa., a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Bilinsky. She was retired from Bloch Brothers Tobacco Co., Wheeling and was a former employee of the Green Tab, Moundsville. She was also a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Church, Wheeling, and a former member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, Post 437, Moundsville and the White Shrine No. 1 , Wheeling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin E. Miller, in 2004; a brother, John Bilinsky; and three sisters, Agnes Johnson, Mary Burley and Helen Cox.
Frances is survived by her two children, Charles M. Miller (Marleen) and Margaret R. McMurray (Mark Thomas), all of Wheeling; two brothers, Harry Bilinsky of Benwood and Andrew Powanda of Wheeling; a sister-in-law, Millie Miller of Wheeling; a step-sister-in-law, Trudy Forrester of Benwood; eight grandchildren, Chuck Miller (Suzy), Kristy Zinn (Micah), Kimberly Phillips (Brian), Corey Miller, Kylee Miller, Bob Heller (Sherry), Bruce Heller (Sarah) and Kelly Hamrick (Justin); 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Monday at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, where funeral services will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, June 23, 2015, with Pastor Mike Eskridge officiating. Entombment will be in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum, Sherrard, W.Va.
