GOOCH, Franklin T., Sr. 67, of Wheeling, W.Va. passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016, in Wheeling, Hospital.
Mr. Gooch was born December 2, 1948 in Ohio County, West Virginia, a son of the late Avery Francis and Clara Shephard Gooch. He was retired from Warwood Tool and a Vietnam Veteran with the United States Marines.
He is survived by his two sons, Franklin T. Gooch, Jr. of Wheeling and Eugene Russell Baxter of West Virginia; his former wife Margaret Gooch, brothers Rick Gooch and Ed Gooch, sisters Marilyn Fry, Gloria Green, Joyce Shear, Donna Chance, Kathy Gooch, Juanita Tredway and Rea Gooch, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Friends will be received Friday, July 15, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Wheeling Chapel, 1400 Eoff Street, Wheeling, where services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10:00 am with Sarah Barickman as Life Celebrant.
The Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military services.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

I remember when me nd my sis was oil we would stay at uncle Teds nd aunt Maggie’s nd we would play hide nd seek nd my uncle Ted told me to hide on top his dresser nd I fell off nd he tried to catch me but I smashed him…. lol
Nd we all four use to dance in our note gown nd dance all note to the song funkytown nd eat fried bologna sandwiches ……
Uncle Ted you are so much more Then a uncle to me ur like a father to me… R.I.P TED.
