Frederick Albert Paree, 85, of Wheeling, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born August 14, 1935 in Wheeling, the son of the late Tony and Minnie (Troilo) Paree Sr.

Fred was a retired employee for O.V.R.T.A. where he also served as secretary.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years Emma (Bowman) Paree; eight children Karen Norris, Debbie Jones, Fred Paree, Cathy Labrum, Kenny Bowman, Mike Murray, Randy Bowman and Janie Waddell; three brothers Rocco Paree, Tony Paree Jr. and Jimmie Paree; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 3-7 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood-McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen, where services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 11 am. with Monsignor Samuel Sacus officiating. Interment will follow at Mount View Cemetery, Dallas, WV.

I am so sorry to hear of Fred’s passing. Fred taught me to drive a bus in 1968 for Wheeling Public Service. He was very safe, courteous and friendly. Everybody out there loved Fred. My prayers are with his family. Rest In Peace Fred.
