Genevieve A. Goddard, 85, of Moundsville, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Ohio Valley Medical Center.
She was born November 11, 1930, a daughter of the late William B. Allen and Minnie (Ferrel) Workman. Genevieve was a member of the Cedar Avenue, Church of Christ, and a retired labor and delivery nurse, from Reynolds Memorial Hospital.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Ralph Goddard (1973) and step-father, Elmer “Short” Workman.
Genevieve is survived by her daughters, Merywon Goddard of Moundsville and Monica Goddard of Martins Ferry, Ohio; step-daughter, Hannelore Schloffel of Brilon, Germany; one sister, Jeannie Winters of Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren, Katrina Hyde, Aimee Schmalz, and Mesa Flowers; and five great-grandchildren, Arbor and Irie Hyde, Lucas Scheifer, Sierra Lozano, and Elijah Flowers.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., from 11 am until time of service at 1 pm, with Brian Price officiating. Interment will take place at North View Cemetery, New Martinsville.

Monica, I am so sorry to for the passing of your mother. She was a very kind and hard working lady. I remember she was always nice to me when I would go to your parents house with you. Prayers for you and your sister.
