Geoffrey Randall Hillberry, 67, of Wheeling went to be with his Lord Jesus at Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, Ohio on December 24, 2023.

He was born to the late Ray and Betty (Dernberger) Hillberry on June 13, 1956 in Wheeling, WV and grew up in Brooke County, WV. He returned to Wheeling as a young adult and lived on Main St. for many years with his beloved Mom. Geoff worked at the WATCH program of Russell Nesbitt Services, Inc. from 1983-2015, and was very proud of being named Employee of the Month in June, 2006. He resided in many group homes in Wheeling over the last 20 years through Northwood Mental Health Services.

Geoffrey touched the lives of everyone he met with his fun-loving nature, jokes, his unique perspective and loving smile. He especially loved many dogs of friends and family!

Left to cherish his memory and celebrate his life are his siblings, Patricia Gaudio, of Pittsburgh, PA and Brian (Lucinda) Hillberry, of Severn, MD, his nephew, Nathan (Amanda) Gaudio and his niece, Elizabeth (Christopher) Dunn and their children and families. He made many friends over the years, especially the clients and staff at WATCH and RNA /Northwood group homes where he worked and lived over many years.

A celebration of Geoffrey’s life will be held on April 13, 2024 at 11am in Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove.

Please consider honoring Geoffrey’s memory with a donation to WATCH, Inc. at 2600 Main St., Wheeling, WV, 26003 or by clicking the link above.
