George Charles Murphy, 88, of Wheeling, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
He was born in Wheeling on February 16, 1935, the son of the late Al and Betty Jean (Ephlin) Murphy. George was a proud US Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 1.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen Murphy (2009).
George is survived by his two children, Joann Welsh and Elmer Murphy and his granddaughter, Crystal Welsh.
