Glenn Marvin Rine, 86, passed away September 19, 2023 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

Glenn was born at home in Glen Easton, WV on August 17, 1937 to the late James “Ross” Rine and Freda Virginia Harris Rine.

He was a workaholic. He worked at Marx Toy Plant, North American Quarto #7 Mine, and Bill’s Quaker State Tire.

Glenn enjoyed playing softball in his younger years and was a Pittsburgh Pirates fan. He also enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds in his later years.

In addition to his parents; he is preceded in death by his brothers, Lloyd and Floyd Rine; half-brother, Harold Rine and a grandson, Michael S. Gray.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Margaret Keller Rine; a daughter, Donna Sue Gray; 2 sons, Paul Marvin (Brenda) Rine and Roger Dale (Kathy) Rine; 5 grandchildren, Roger Wayne (Chelsea) Rine, Dallas Paul (Amanda) Rine, Adriane (Nick) Morris, Grace (Riley) Housel and Molly Rine; 6 great-grandchildren, Marshall Shane Gray (Suspanik), Austin Rine, Bristol Rine, Reilly Jo Rine, Hadley Morris, Grayson Morris and Baby Housel; brother, Charles Elmer Rine of Sherrard, WV; sister, Mary Ruth Satterfield of Bethesda, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Patty Rine of Arkansas and Marti A. Starkey of Valley Grove, WV.

Visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm with a funeral service on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 12:00 pm with Rev. Steve Stephenson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Liza’s Place, Valley Hospice Care Center South, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943, or to the National Audubon Society, Attn: Donations, 225 Varick Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10014.

Glenn was always so kind to my brother and I anytime we were down at our Pap’s station. He was truly the best friend to my grandparents and the hardest, most dedicated worker. We are so sorry for your loss.
