Goldie Marie (Longwell) Oliver, 98, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at her home.
Goldie was born October 30, 1922 in Littleton, WV, a daughter of the late Harry “Pete” and Kitty (Carpenter) Longwell. She was retired from the former Marx Toy Company and was a member of the Cornerstone Church of God, Moundsville.
In addition to her parents, Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Oliver; daughter, Carolyn Whitlatch; a son-in-law, Linn Whitlatch; brothers, Clifford, Kenneth and Melvin Longwell; and sisters, Edith Holman and Waveline Carpenter. She is survived by her sister, Mary Frances of O Leary, OH; grandson, Rick Whitlatch of Glen Easton; granddaughters, Donna Wood (Jim) and Virginia Crow (Jack), both of Moundsville; additional special granddaughters, Tracy Nowak, Stacy Jablinske, Carrie Schollcraft, Kimberly Carney and Paula Maxwell; an adopted son, Mike Longwell of Ashland, OH; 8 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Wednesday, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, where funeral services will be held at 10 am, Thursday, August 26, 2021, with Rev. Ron Wilfong officiating. Interment will follow in Limestone Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful of a person Goldie was to so many people. She always saw the good in everyone. She taught me what it meant to be a good person and I work daily to live by those teachings. You will be missed Grandma and will live on in our hearts forever. Thoughts and prayers are with all the family now as I know you have lost a truly amazing women.
My deepest sympathies to all the family that lost such a wonderful woman! Grandma Goldie was one of the strongest, giving and caring woman I have ever known. She took the best care of us growing up and it was greatly appreciated. She will definitely be missed by everyone that knew her.
Goldie you were a sweet lady and I enjoyed taking care of when you were in the hospital fly high Goldie you will be missed❤️❤️❤️
