Helen (Siebieda) Horbatak, 94, of Wheeling, WV. passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Rose Hill Health and Rehab, Berryville, VA.
Helen was born on February 26, 1927 in Wheeling, daughter of the late Joseph Siebieda Sr. and Antonina (Drabek) Siebieda.
She was a retired employee of Wheeling Newspaper, member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Sherrard, WV, loved to play Bingo, travel and most of all spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Horbatak Sr; son, John Horbatak Jr. and all her siblings, Stella Kussick, Wanda Porter, Carl, Matthew, William, Joseph, Walter and John Siebieda.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Lynette (Walters) Horbatak of Martinsburg, WV; two grandsons, Christopher (Jamie) Horbatak of Charles Town , WV and Michael (Rachel) Horbatak of Purcellville, VA; grand-daughter, Heather (Dan) Metz of Louisa, VA; five great grandchildren, Madison Metz, Kayleigh Metz, Hannah Horbatak, Harper Horbatak and Olivia Horbatak.
Friends will be received on Friday, January14, 2022 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV from 6-8pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10am At Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Sherrard, WV, with Rev. Joseph Augustine serving as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.

Sending our condolences to your family. I am sorry that no one from the Drabek Cleveland family was able to attend the services. The pictures showed the happy times of Helen’s life. Thank you for sharing her memories.

To Helen’s family,
All of us are sadden to hear of Helen’s passing but in our hearts we know she is at peace being with John and John, Jr. Most of all we know she is in peace in the Lord’s arms. Hoping you all have peace in your hearts. She will also be in our hearts. She was fun to be around and always made life interesting. It will be the fun times that will be with us forever. Love,
