Hugh Ronald Reddy, 76, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Wheeling Hospital, with family at his side.
Ron was born February 2, 1941, in Wheeling, a son of the late Hugh J. Reddy and Louise C. Stenger Reddy.
In his younger years, Ron enjoyed hunting, and raising and training is own hounds. He also enjoyed truck driving. His first job was driving for the original Farm Dairy Co-Op, Triadelphia, W.Va. Later, one of his favorites’, was driving for Wonder Bread Bakery, Wheeling, and again driving for the WV Department of Highways. In his later years, he was employed at Valley Camp Coal, and with the Ohio County School System at Wheeling Park High School.
Ron is survived by his children, Kathy (Tom), Chris (Tanaka), Lisa (Brad), Connie and Brian; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters, Pat, Mary Ann (Jeff), Sharon, Tina (Terry); two brothers, John and Rick (Jeanie); and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated at 11 am, Friday, April 21, 2017, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Monsignor Paul Hudock as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
