Irene “Betty” Elizabeth (Rose) Stein, 75, of McMechen, WV, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Country Club Retirement Center, Bellaire, OH.
She was born in Wheeling, WV on August 18, 1945, daughter of the late Theodore & Rhuemma (Marshall) Rose.
Betty was retired from Gary Lewis Dentistry, where she was a Dental Assistant and Receptionist, she loved spending time with her dogs and feeding the birds.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stein, and brothers, Elwood, James, Thomas, Robert, and Gary Rose.
Surviving are her three sons, Harry Tucker of Moundsville, Ron Tucker of McMechen and Mark (Margaret) Tucker of Elm Grove, WV; brother, Larry (Sharon) Rose of Georgia; four grandchildren, Sean, Kristopher, Mark, and Seth Tucker; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and her three dogs, Scamp, Duke, and Mia.
Friends will be received on Friday, June 18, 2021, from 6-8 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Benwood/McMechen Chapel, 214 Marshall Street, McMechen, WV, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at 11 am.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.

I knew Betty from Dr. Lewis, and she was always as sweet and helpful as can be. So sorry to hear of her passing. My deepest sympathy along with my prayers to her family.
