Irene Yocum, 88, of Titusville, formerly of Glen Dale, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2021 at Parrish Medical Center, Titusville, FL.
She was born May 12, 1933, the daughter of the late Paul and Stella (Salek) Pylypchuk.
Irene was a retired Register Nurse for Reynolds Memorial Hospital; a former member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Glen Dale and a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Titusville.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother Paul Pylypchuk; a sister Pauline Logston; Eldred’s daughter Carla Yocum.
Surviving is her husband Eldred Yocum of Titusville, daughter, Michelle “Mickey” Wnek (Bill) of Glen Dale; Eldred’s two children Sherry Crumm (Marty) of Moundsville and Rance Yocum (Sue) of Fairpointe, Ohio; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a private Memorial Service at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave, Moundsville with Rev John Ledford officiating. Private interment will follow at Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens, Sherrard.

Sherry and Marty, I just read about the loss of ur beloved. I am so sorry for that terrible loss. Family is such an important part of ur family as I remember. I did not have the graciousness of knowing her but knowing u Sherry, the kindness and generosity u have for others, u must have had a beautiful and lasting influence. Please take time to grieve. Irene was an excellent RN and an all around great person. She had a great sense of humor, was a good friend of my sister, Nancy. May she rest in peace.
