Jack Richard Buzzard, 89, of Cameron, WV, died Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born May 6, 1928 in Cameron, a son of the late Thomas and Bessie Blake Buzzard.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a son, Richard Thomas Buzzard and a brother, Charles(Georgie) Buzzard.

Jack worked and retired from Columbia Gas Transmissions as a welder. He was a veteran, serving in the Air Force in Japan. He loved riding in his side by side and being outdoors on the farm. He loved all his animals. Jack was a proud member of the Shriners in Wheeling, enjoying all of their cookouts. Jack was a member of both the Masonic Lodge #17 and American Legion Post 18.

Jack is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alice Dobbs Buzzard, his daughter Robin(Donald Mack)Quigley, daughter in law, Anna Buzzard and grandson, Nicholaus Buzzard, three brothers; Donald(Lenora)Buzzard, Guy(Geraldine)Buzzard, Paul(Joan)Buzzard, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. We were blessed by his love and devotion to his family.

A very special thank you to Dr. Shawn Stern for his caring and kindness, and also the Cameron Nursing and Rehab Center for all their support.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes and Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, WV from 10:00am until time of services at 2:00pm with Rev. Wesley Howsare officiating.
