James Edward Regiec, Sr., 84, of Moundsville, WV, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his home.
He was born November 20, 1933 in Fairpoint, OH, a son of the late Charles Virgin and Mary Regiec Gorby.
Jim was retired from Mobay as a machinist, was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, an avid bowler and was a Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Regina Silver Regiec in 2012, a brother; Edward Gorby and a great-grandson; Colten James.
Jim is survived by his son; Jim (Ginger)Regiec, Jr. of Glen Easton: a sister, Phyllis (George)Hanselmann of Egg Harbor, NJ: 2 brothers, Jerry (Lottie) Durbin of Moundsville, Kevin (Krista) Durbin, of Cameron; 3 sisters in law, Sally Gorby, of Blaine, OH, Lucille Hicks of Belmont, WV, Carmella (Perry)Hazelwood of Tamms, IL, along with 2 grandchildren, Frankie(Whitney) Regiec and Vicki Regiec, both of Glen Easton; 2 great grandchildren, Liam and Leland and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from 2-4 6-8pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes and Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, where a vigil service will be conducted at 6:00pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 1:00pm at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 7th and Jefferson Ave., Moundsville, with Rev. That Son Ngoc Nguyen as celebrant.
Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with full military honors with the Moundsville Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
