Bridget, Dan, Virginia, James and Susan,
Uncle Jim was my Godfather and I always enjoyed talking with him when we visited the farm. I remember going to Uncle Jim and Aunt Ginny’s wedding and how happy they both were. Me and your other older cousins thought we were “big stuff” for getting to go. When it was our turn to get married it meant a lot to Cheryl and I that your Dad made the trip to the St. Louis area to celebrate with us. We really enjoyed “catching up” with some of you a couple summers ago in St. Clairsville and wanted to let you know we are thinking about you. Take care.
James, Bridget and Virginia– Our deepest, heartfelt condolences go out to you and your families. Your father’s love of family, strength of character, and kindheartedness were seen and felt by those around him. As you keep his memory in your hearts, know that we will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. May God be with you and comfort you during this time.
I worked with Jim at Dean Realty. He was such a kind man and always a gentleman who was willing to help whenever it was needed. Jim was so proud of his family and always spoke so lovingly of all of you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
My continued prayers for you all as you gather to celebrate yoru dad’s life and send him forth into God’s glory. I am sorry I cannot be with you on Saturday, but know that I continue to hold you in prayer.
Bridget and family–be assured of the prayers of the Marianist religious community on Stonemill/Kiefaber in Dayton, Ohio this weekend. I am sorry that I will not be able to be with you in West Virgina. May God grant your dad the fullness of life in God’s kingdom. Peace and prayers!! Fr. Jim
May the love of God surround you and your family during this difficult time

Your dad was always a good sport about our every whim while we were in college. I’ll never forget him allowing Bridget to drag just about every utensil & kitchen item out of his house so I could make my new boyfriend (now husband of 22 years) lasagna. Mr. Ebbert was so kind to me & his family was like a home away from home. I know you all will miss him. Peace be with him & all of you. Love, Trecia Kimes-Brown
Glad that I had the chance to be with your dad several times over his last years! May the memory of his quiet strength and his life and love be a great comfort. Many prayers surrounding you all this weekend!
