James “Jim” A. Walter, 80, of Moundsville, WV, passed away Monday, June 8th, 2015 at Liza’s Place, Wheeling, WV.
He was born May 2, 1935 in Canton, OH, the son of the late James Robert and Dorothy Anna (Derrick) Walter.
Jim was a retired window washer for World Window Washing in Chicago, IL, a US Army Korean War Veteran and loved to repair broken items around the house.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Dorothy Deborah (Walter) Peralez, son, James Walter, Jr., brother, Clayton Walter and two great grandsons, Bradon Walter and Christopher David Hall.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Darlene (Sloan) Walter of Moundsville; nine children, Clayton R. Walter of TX, David W. (Kim) Walter of Indianapolis, IN, Rachel A. Flores of Moundsville, Samuel R. Walter and Fiancee, Erica Kohl of SC, Frank C (Stacie) Walter of NC, Ray (Catherine) Sloan of TX, Michael J. Sloan of TX, Margie (Jerry) House of NC and Polly Sloan of Triadelphia, WV; sister, Jo Ann (Charles) Loy of Sherrard, WV, Robert (Roberta) Walter of Pittsburgh, PA and Bill (Terry) Walter of Massachusetts; 27 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.
Per Jim’s request, there will be no services at this time.
