Janet Lee Cupp of Wheeling died Monday, December 19, 2022, at the
Continuous Care Center, Wheeling Hospital.
Born on December 2, 1934, she was an active member of the Cathedral
of St. Joseph in Wheeling and for many years served as their parish
secretary. She was preceded in death by her parents Allen F. and Clara
VanDyne, her devoted husband, Robert Thomas Cupp, Sr. and their
son, Bruce R. Cupp.
She was the beloved mother of two daughters, Beth Ann Dunham and
her husband, Michael of Jacksonville, FL, Debra Lynn LaPorte of
Beverly, MA, and son, Robert Thomas Cupp, Jr., and his wife, Lynnette
Magnone Cupp of St. Clairsville, OH. She was Nana to five
grandchildren, Matthew, Michael and Rachel LaPorte, and Marissa and
Steven Cupp. A private service was held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery,
Wheeling.

I will always know her as Mrs. Cupp. As a best friend of her son Bob, I was at the Cupp’s what seemed everyday. She would treat me like a son and was the sweetest person you would ever meet. So sad to hear of her passing. Condolences to the Cupp family.
