Jeanne (Bierkortte) McIntyre, 67, formerly of Wheeling, WV passed away on August 25, 2023 peacefully in Southwest Ranches, FL with her beloved Luis Camblor by her side.
Jeanne was born November 21, 1955 in Wheeling to the late Joseph and Helen (Angus) Bierkortte and a 1973 graduate of Central Catholic High School. After high school she pursued a career by attending Wheeling Hospital’s School of Radiology Technology where she graduated in 1975. She enjoyed her work in Radiology performing special procedures with precision and compassion. She was a true professional, she did everything to perfection. Each and every day she was fashionable and looked her best down to her nails and earrings.
Sadly, in 2009 Jeanne suffered a stoke and was no longer able to serve her patients that she dearly loved. Although she had to retire, Jeanne did not allow the stroke to control her life. She continued to live life to the fullest and spread joy, generosity and love everywhere. Jeanne loved living in “Sunny” Florida, as she always referred to it. She had a courageous spirit and learned how to enjoy life within her limitations. Jeanne would say with joy; “Jesus is my Savior”, despite her expressive aphasia.
Jeanne happily made her home in Southwest Ranches, FL with the love of her life, Luis, his family and their three adoring dogs; Buster, Lucky and Jingles. In addition to Luis , she is survived by her brother, Joe and his wife Bernie of North Caroline; sister, her Robin of Pennsylvania as well as nieces and nephews; Jason, Mellissa and Jordan.
Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11am.
Although Jeanne’s smile, compassion and generosity will be greatly missed, there is peace in knowing that her struggle is no more.
