Joan was my 3rd cousin. Her sister Nora was. My sister”s godmother. Since my dad, Timothy Harrigan, died in 1999, I have been keeping in touch with Joan. Her memory was failing her at the end, but she liked to talk about driving to California after high school with her sister Mary and how different it was there and how they came back to Wheeling after only a couple weeks. I loved it when she was able to tell me stories from her past. How she remembers her brother Johnnie building their back patio. I will miss Joan and keep her always in my thoughts and prayers.
