Joan was one amazing woman. She taught me so much. Most importantly that there was normal families with good parents in our world. Durning the mid to late 70’s, 77 Arlington Ave. became my 2nd home; my safe place from that other house kitty corner across from there. Oddly enough, after 27yrs in NY, I’ve purchased a home in the same area. I pass hers & Ray’s old home daily and smile, while warm memories flood my mind. Joan took me to buy my 1st bra, to have my ears pierced, swimming, movies, Chinese, the Elks, VFW and everywhere. Debbie was my childhood best friend, more like sisters. We were inseparable. I am saddened over Joan’s passing. Deb, my heart is heavy for you today. Peace & love from your old friend.
