“Aunt Joanie” was someone we heard about all our lives, even though my parents never lived close by enough for us to get to know that branch of our family. But my mom (Joan’s sister, Ruth) always told us stories of their growing up together, 12 children raised by Stella & Charlie, our grandparents. So your family – though we grew up in different parts of the country – were nevertheless always part of ours, in our hearts somehow, due to Ruth’s love for her sister Joan. As another of our cousins (Joe Frazier) has said: “With the size of our family, when we all get to Heaven we’re going to need a really big cloud!” God bless & keep you all, Joan is happy now with the good Lord & we will all see her soon! 🙂
