JoAnn Ruth Wolfe, 91, of Wheeling passed away suddenly in her home April 29, 2022.

Mrs. Wolfe was born December 12, 1930 in Wheeling, WV to the late Louis and Anna Reister. JoAnn’s hobbies included bowling, swimming and playing euchre. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband Charles Wolfe Sr.; her sister Phyllis Wigal; her granddaughter, Krista Wolfe; brother Lewis Reister; and her niece Linda Stetor.

She is survived and greatly missed by; three sons Charles (Patty) Wolfe, Gary (Sandy) Wolfe, and Randolph (Rose) Wolfe; 6 grandchildren Randy Jr., Scott, Stacy, Ashley, Brittney, and Ryan; numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Wednesday May 4, 2022; 1-5 with a small service starting at 5 at Altmeyer Funeral Home Wheeling, 1400 Eoff St Wheeling, WV 26003. Mass of Christian burial will take place Thursday May 5, 2022, 10:30am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church Warwood, WV. Entombment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Joann was well liked by everyone. I was her Euchre partner for years at the Elm Grove Eagles. She loved her family. Sorry I couldn’t make the viewing. Prayers to the family. RIP Joann, you will be missed.
