Joyce A. Marshall, 71, formerly of Peter’s Run Road, Wheeling, WV, died on Friday, October 14, 2016 in St Joseph’s Hospital, Warren, OH.

She was born on February 5, 1945 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Irma (Heller) Minkemeyer.  In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Marshall and a sister Patricia Minkemeyer Moore.

Surviving children are one son, Jerry Marshall and his wife, Raelynn; 3 daughters, Jody, Jill and Janel Marshall; twin sister, Joan Minkemeyer Mobley and sister, Ella Minkemeyer Yanok; 5 grandchildren, Jerry, Jessica, Javon, Jalena and Julian; 3 great grandchildren, Ava, Bella and Zachary; sister-in-law, Lori Marshall Valloric and several nieces and nephews.

Joyce was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was a wonderful woman of quiet strength who led by example and always put others before herself.  She was loving, compassionate, caring and always giving of herself to not only her family and friends, but to all who knew her.  She welcomed everyone with open arms and an open heart.  She was truly an angel who blessed the lives of her family and friends.

Friends will be received Friday from 6-8 pm in the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., Elm Grove.  Services will be held in the Funeral Home Saturday at 11 am with Reverend Darrell W. Cummings officiating.  Interment will follow in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

Dear Joyce,
I remember seeing you all the time at hoss’s and up jerrys sometimes. You’ve known me ever since I was little and it’s so hard to believe that your gone. You always make me smile every time I see you and your smiling face. You amaze me in so many ways. I’m so blessed to become a part of your life. Thank you for being part of my life.
