Karen Sue (Moore) Minor, 70, of Moundsville, W.Va., passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017, in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio.

Karen was born March 5, 1947, in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Charles Edward Moore, Sr. and Irene (Hammer) Moore. She was Christian by faith; loved music and singing; and had a great sense of humor.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Minor, in 2002; two sisters, Carole Southern and Irene “Susie” Porter; and a brother, Charles Edward Moore, Jr.. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy J. Minor of Moundsville; a son, Ralph R. Minor of Moundsville; twin sister, Sharon Gorby of Moundsville; six grandchildren, Christina M. (Stackhouse) Young, Thomas Ash Stackhouse, Brittany Ann Minor, Ralph Edward Minor, Jason Allen Minor and Angela Hope Minor; two great-grandchildren, Chatham and Kingsley Young; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm, Wednesday, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, where funeral services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, December 21, 2017. Interment will follow in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park Sherrard, W.Va.

I meet Karen at Country Club Retirement Center where she was a patient and I took care of her she was so sweet and loving that we became friends. Karen was my favorite I miss her so much. God Bless You Karen. R I P
