Kathleen Theresa (Yost) Garvey, “Kay”, 82, of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016, in Bishop Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling.
Kay was born May 1, 1933 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Eskey P. and Catherine (Coyne) Yost. She was retired from Wheeling National Bank / Wesbanco, and was an active member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, Wheeling.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Garvey, in 1985; and a brother, Thomas Yost.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Flading and her husband, Michael of Benwood, W.Va.; a sister, Mary Margaret Blum of Wheeling; a niece, Marjean Sizemore of Wintersville, Ohio; and several other nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Kay’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, at 11 am, Saturday, January 30, 2016, at Our Lady of Lebanon Church, Wheeling, with the Msgr. Bakhos Chidiac as celebrant. Private interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

I just was made aware of the passing of dear Kay by Donna Durbin. I worked at Wheeling National for 12 years and had the pleasure of working with Kay! She was always so pleasant and wonderful to be around! She will always be fondly remembered and sadly missed by many.
