Kevin Albert Keane, born on February 13, 1959, in Wheeling, West Virginia, suddenly passed away on October 7, 2023, at the age of 64. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to his loved ones. Kevin was truly a family man who will be profoundly missed.
Kevin began his working life in the family business, The Minute Markets. He then became a Wheeling Firefighter/Paramedic for which he earned several Star of Life awards and a Phoenix Award. He then worked in various roles, eventually becoming a manager, dedicating over 15 years to Wendy’s. His loyalty and commitment were unparalleled, and his colleagues remember him as a true example of relentless dedication.
Kevin’s loss is immense. He, and his loving wife Rebecca (LeMasters) Keane, stood together through every challenge and their bond was unbreakable. Together, they created a beautiful family, with children Mackenzie Keane, Andrew Keane, Kevin W. Keane, and Darbie (Andre Paige) Keane, who will forever carry their father’s spirit in their hearts.
Kevin is also survived by his siblings, Maureen (Thomas) Williams, John (Barbara) Keane, Joan (Bill) Dickman, and Dave (Candice) Keane, who will continue to cherish the lifelong memories they have shared. As the son of Irish immigrants, all of Kevin’s extended family reside in Ireland.
Kevin has now been reunited with his late parents, Andrew J. and Mary A. Keane, and his sister, Sheila Keane, who passed away in 2019.
Kevin was also very caring to animals. He loved and lost many cherished pets who are now rejoicing in being with him once again.
As we bid farewell to Kevin, let us remember his unique character, his warmth, his humor, and his love for life. May his memory forever inspire us to live each day with kindness, compassion, and gratitude. Rest in eternal peace, dear Kevin and may God hold you in the palm of his hand. You shall be forever missed, but never forgotten.
