Madelyn Sue Phillips, 86, of Cameron, W. Va., passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 25, 1929, a daughter of the late John B. and Stella (Evans) Phillips. Madelyn was a member of Beeler Station Church, Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star Lorraine Chapter #9, The Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem #1, and a 4-H Leader for the Flying Saucers, Fork Ridge.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her four brothers, William, Donald, Richard and DDS Edward Phillips; and one sister, Marjorie Allison.

Madelyn is survived by her two sisters, Jeanette P. Lilly, of Cameron, and Evelyn L. (Fred) Bane of Glen Easton, W. Va.; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received Friday, July 31, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes-Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, where funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1, at 11 am. Interment will take place at Beeler Station Cemetery.

To Madelyns family, I was a 4-Her when Madelyn was a leader. We all had so much fun then. I had a lot of respect for her. You have my deepest sympathy.
